All flowers are currently in the ground and growing like weeds..HA
As you know we grow our "natural, organic" flowers from seed. The physical attributes and characteristics will be determined as they mature (sativa, indica). Our flowers are considered Hybridized because of the cross pollination we do. As for the "experiance" each flower provided will be determined by you as an individual. We create the strains we do for very specific reasons:
* Climate and weather conditions
* High THC & CBD strains
* Terpene profiles (taste & smell)
* Density (thick monster buds)
* Size of individual plant
Our goal is to continue to provide "Quality", we look forward to a successful season.
hopefully with no fires this year :)

A seed list will be available as the male flowers mature.

 The New Dose Tip..makes it sooo much easier.

For those of you that struggle with wasted oil because it came out of the syringe to fast or in one big blob, this is the thing for you. Or for those that are not sure what a dose looks like, the tips come in a wide variety of sizes leaving you with out having to guess. So far, everyone really likes the dose tips. You have to keep the syringe in an upright position. Leave the tip on the syringe until the medicine is gone. It doesn't clog, and is 00% accurate. its makes loading your V-pen easier as well.

Home made compost..recycle, keep money in your pocket

After the wild fires we had in the canyon last summer. The forest service left behind piles of shredded trees in the campground. We usually would use bales of rice hay (purchased at the farm store) and run it through the shredder. This year we used the abandoned piles of shredded trees. We have also used decomposing (dead n rotten) Madrone trees n leaves from up the road. This worked out really well this year. The objective of compost piles is to force it to break down to its most basic elements. We use a mixture of Blood Meal, Chicken & horse poop, because we have a lot of the last two items. We also had the food that has been rotting in the compost bin. Making the compost pile is really simple. Lay out a layer of shredded bark (trees) and home compost, plus chicken/horse manure and a good layer of Blood Meal. Then another layer of shredded matter, blood meal, chicken/horse manure etc..and continue to create a mound. You will know its working when it starts to heat up. Note to compost creater..these piles can reach 180 degrees. After about 7 days you will rotate the pile. Another note, anything you build the pile on , will die (grass). It might be a good idea to purchase a thermometer to make sure your getting the temps your looking for. If your pile is not heating up to the temps your looking for, add more blood meal when you rotate your pile. You will notice the pile getting smaller, smellier, and darker black in color. You can take regular ph readings as you go as well, they also can be purchased at a feed store or hardware store. We let our piles cook for about two months.

We take special care to prepare each hole accordingling. If you get this wrong, you can burn your flowers (to much of something) and stunt their growth, putting stress on your pocketbook. Remember the goal is to get the biggest, baddest, plants nature can provide. If you give your flowers enough room, minerals, clean water, direct sunlight, they will provide you with exactly what you are working hard for.

This is how we prep our holes
We take our cement mixer and add 6 cups of each of these soil amendments to each hole.
First we till in the cover crop (nitrogen rich veg plants).
We add:
Rock Phosphate
Potassium Sulfate
Bone Meal
Kelp
Oyster Flower
Wood ashes
Aziomite
Glacial Dust
Feather Meal
Each of these items are natural "Organic" not considered evasive.
Because we take the time to prep the holes with amendments and re-build our soil every year we save ourselves time, sweat, stress and money by doing it right the first time. Our pay off is a beautiful finished flower. We provide our flowers with clean water, and only fertilize at the very end of harvest with Fish Emulsion. We believe in "clean practices" our mountain (tree) neighbors are incredibly valuable to what we do, and the way we live. We cherish the river and streams that surround us.
If you have any questions dont hesitate to contact us. Remember we believe "your success, is our success."

ROSIN VS DABS

3/6/2016

Rosin is a solvent less extraction process. It allows you to make your own quality (kief oil) in the privacy of your own home. The best part about making your own Rosin, it is safe, inexpensive and can be made with a simple house hold tool. The processes uses heat and pressure to compress the cannabinoid/rich resin found in your flowers (cannabis). If you dont have kief or know how to extract kief from your flowers, some dispensaries do sell individual grams of kief for this purpose.
Dabs is the end product of extraction using Butane ( not good for you )
Rosin would almost be impossible to distinguish the difference between it and shatter or sap.
Here is what you need to make Rosin:
1-Hair straightener
2- Kief or hash
3- Parchment paper (unbleached if possible) cut into squares.
4- Dabber tool ( get creative )
Note: Make sure your heat device (straighter) has a low setting 280-330 degrees.
cut parchment into squares and place kief in between two pieces, press firmly for about 3-7 seconds.
Remove the parchment from the hot surface, scrap the amber rosin from the paper..it should be sticky.
Be careful not to burn yourself..load rosin into V pen..preferably a "Magic Flight" unit and enjoy.

RECYCLING OLD SOIL.....

 (NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT
Soil preparation is a three part process:
1- Recycle and re-build soil from last year.
2- Create natural "home made" compost piles.
3- Create perfect humus (dark, nitrogen rich, amended soil) for each hole.

We will start with 1...
Soil can become a huge expense each year, and for some, it is. However, it doesn't have to be.
Your goal is to add humus to your "used" soil.
 Humus is the thick brown or black substance that remains after most of the organic litter has decomposed. Humus contains many useful nutrients for healthy soil, the very most important being nitrogen. Experts think humus makes soil more fertile, they suggest it helps prevent disease in plants and food crops. When you have humus in soil it helps air and water move through the loose soil, providing oxygen to the roots of your plants.
Adding nitrogen to your soil is very easy. You can buy "Soil Cover" at any feed store. We fill the permanent holes with cover crop (plant about three months) before you intend to till in your "natural home made compost piles." As you can see from the photo, we also take the soil used in grow bags and add cover crop. Eventually we will till the cover crop into the soil, and add it to the compost that is currently being created. We also add a list of organic amendments to each hole/bag before the flowers are added.
